Register and Privacy Statement
This is Arctic Animal Oy's registration and data protection statement in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Prepared on 13 December 2021. Latest change 12.9.2022.
We take extremely good care of all the information we collect or receive from our customers. Our customers also have the option to request the deletion of their own data and to be forgotten
In order to place an order from Arctic Animal, the customer must accept the means of data collection and processing described in this privacy statement. This acceptance is verified and recorded in our systems in connection with the order (agreement), in connection with the creation/use of a customer account (consent) or in connection with another action requiring similar data collection.
In a simplified way, Arctic Animal stores the following information: information that can be observed from the use of online services, the information provided by the users themselves, and information that can be derived with the help of analytics.
We use data as follows:

What information is collected and stored?
-Information provided by the user himself
-Identification information such as name
-Contact information, such as phone number, email address, and postal address
-Payment information, such as invoicing information and payment method information
-Location information for service localization (currencies, delivery methods)
-The e-mail address and certificate required for Google or Facebook login
-Product reviews
-Marketing communication permissions
-Personal information provided with the customer's separate consent, such as customer survey responses
-Product-specific supplementary notification orders
Data observed about the use of the services
-Delivery information, such as delivery address and selected payment method
-Purchase history, such as products ordered, returns, and payments
-Browsing and usage data of the online store
-Terminal identification information
-Online shopping session events, such as shopping cart additions
Information derived from analytics
-Product recommendations inferred from browsing and purchase information
-Customer groupings and interests inferred from purchase data
-Size information deduced from purchase information for giving size recommendations
As a rule, the source of the information is the website user/customer himself. In addition to this, we may obtain additional information from our partners, e.g. from a credit service provider for invoicing services.
Principles of registry protection
Care is taken when processing the register and the information processed with the help of information systems is properly protected. Register data is stored on Internet servers and the physical and digital data security of their hardware is taken care of accordingly. The registrar ensures that stored data as well as server access rights and other data critical to the security of personal data are handled confidentially and only by those employees whose job description it is.
Information is not regularly disclosed to other parties. Information can only be published to the extent agreed with the customer.
IP addresses of website visitors and cookies necessary for the functions of the service are processed on the basis of legitimate interest, e.g. to take care of information security and for the collection of statistical data of website visitors in those cases when they can be considered as personal data. If necessary, consent is requested separately for third-party cookies.
The information to be saved in the register is obtained from the customer, e.g. From messages sent via web forms, by e-mail, by phone, via social media services, contracts, customer meetings, and other situations where the customer gives out their information.
Information about contact persons of companies and other organizations can also be collected from public sources such as websites, directory services, and other companies.
The right of inspection and the right to demand correction of information
Every person in the register has the right to check their information stored in the register and demand the correction of any incorrect information or the completion of incomplete information. If a person wants to check the information stored about him or demand correction, the request must be sent in writing to the controller. If necessary, the registrar can ask the requester to prove his identity. The controller responds to the customer within the time stipulated in the EU data protection regulation (generally within a month).
Other rights related to the processing of personal dataA person in the register has the right to request the removal of personal data about him from the register ("the right to be forgotten"). Those registered also have other rights according to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, such as limiting the processing of personal data in certain situations. Requests must be sent in writing to the controller. If necessary, the registrar can ask the requester to prove his identity. The controller responds to the customer within the time stipulated in the EU data protection regulation (generally within a month).
